Today I found out Heavy D passed away. I was deeply saddened by this as he was MY childhood pop culture and my first musical crush. He was a musician, an actor, an THE Overweight Lover. I didn't know him personally but my love affair with his music growing up made me feel like I did.
So today it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to a hip hop icon. I got Nothin But Love for Ya' Baby...

so true.. today is truly a sad day.. heav was an icon and was part of the movement that helped make hip hop music accepted.. he will truly be missed..
